Recapping a Color Classic

I've recently acquire a Color Classic. When I picked it up the battery was fine but you can clearly tell the caps been leaking so I ordered a cap kit. I just removed the caps and unfortunately torn the positive pad on C8 cleanly off. This is what it looks like now:

C8 - the only 16V cap, where does the postive pad lead to?

Also, I notice the postive pad for C3 and C11 lead to ground, is that normal? Every other cap beside C4 and C9 have their negative lead to ground? Where does the pad from C4 and C9 lead to? I'm trying to double check and verify whether there is any trace damage from the cap leaks.

Side questions. The board came with 2 stick of ram and no vram, does the color classic work without vram?

I can at least answer your last question: the CC comes with 256Kb VRAM on-board; the VRAM slot is for adding 256Kb extra. The extra is useful if, for example, you perform the board modification to change the screen resolution to 640x480 (which requires more than 256Kb VRAM). Otherwise, it allows you to increase bit depth.

Without a PDS upgrade, the max memory you can stick in the CC is 2 4MB SIMMS, which along with the on-board 4MB, brings the total to 12, of which 10 is addressable.
