Radius Accelerator

Hi there,

I recently installed a radius accelerator, the one specifically for the Mac SE. It went in fine, it boots up and shows the Radius logo, loads the os and extensions and then hangs when it gives a system error I've never seen before "couldn't load MBDF"

It asks me to start again without extensions, which leads to the exact same error. I can turn off the accelerator and the computer works fine. I've done that and installed the accelerator and radius sane files into my system folder and restarted. I got the exact same error. Anyone ever heard of this? I have to be honest here, I don't even know what the MBDF is.

Thanks.

System BOMB error #85 for mac OS

A google search gave me this:

" Can anyone help me? I tryed to boot up my MacIntosh and it comes up

> with the error "couldn't load MBDF" I realize this is bomb number 85,

> but how do you correct this?

> Any help would be appreciated.

It's a good-news error. It means that your computer is told to load a

virus, but it is not there anymore.

This is typically the error that occurs when a trace of the MBDF virus

is on your disk, but the infected file is gone. Run any viruskiller,

and your problem is solved.

Don't forget to clean your floppy's as well.

If you toast your own cd's, check them and throw away the infected ones."

Figured out what it was, the rom in the card is too old to support system 7.0, so I have to run it with system 6, which is a bit of a pain. System 6 already runs relatively fast and the programs that could really use this card are on system 7.0

I'm going to try and update the software and see if that works, but I have a feeling it won't change much.
