Quick Time VR

Hi,

I just researched about the QuickTime VR, but all the links are targeted to apple.com and they are dead.

Has anyone got some experience with the QTVR Authoring ?

Where could I get it for my old mac?

Thanks guys

You're looking for QTVR Studio, which was a Classic app. It turns up on eBay periodically; it's not hard to find.

However, QTVR Studio has a pretty lousy stitcher. I use hugin to generate the panorama image and then use QTVR to convert it. It will then play in any version of QuickTime, including on OS X. I took a panorama of my old apartment that way, so I can always go back to "the way it was" :)

hey thanks I will sniff around for QTVR studio!

I wonder how to create a walkthroug QTVR, you know what I mean, you are in a panorama you click on a point and advance further. I would like to make a panorama of dads house while he is building it.

How do you do that? What tools.

Only experience with qtvr I had was in form z where after export you could view the object and rotate it, thats why I am interested in the Quick Draw 3D where you could view the 3D files in notepad. Hmm I wonder how to build such 3D objects, Newer version of form z can export that. Do you know what app for classic could do that?

Thanks for reply

I found a version 1.0 on macgui.com it veights 3.5mb...I thought I would find something new-er, any sugestions?

Thanks

QD3D, I tried to open in notepad and it didnt work, I exported from form z. What modelin app does support the QD3D?

Embed HTML links in the image, link goes to a new panorama, use web browser with QT to view?

I hav a copy of Studio and it came with a bunch of additional examples on the CD including one of Apple's outlet store.

There's a book about an inch thick that tells you everything about how the software works and how to link nodes.
