Quadra 950 internal cable management & latch mechanism

Hi everyone

I’m currently in the stage of re-assembling my Quadra 950 after a thorough cleaning.

1st issue: I want to have the internal SCSI and power cables as tidy as possible. Currently, a floppy disk drive, an Apple CD 600 and a 3.5“ HD are installed. I‘m curious to see pictures of your 900/950/95/9150 cable management! 😃

2nd issue: I received this machine with broken door latches. One is missing, but I made a precise 3D model from the other to make a replacement. With just one latch, I have difficulties with properly closing the cover. I need to press firmly towards the front of the machine to align everything (this is not what I am used to when closing my 700, IIsi or 475 whose lid snap in easily). I guess that this might be partially related to bent plastic on door, hinge or latch. Could anybody with a machine in good condition send me pictures of the crucial case parts?

Thanks in advance for any photos!

Robin

It really takes a lot of force to close the lid

Is this gap supposed to be like this?

It still is an impressive machine!
