Quadra 700

Found a very good condition Quadra 700 for about 100 euros.(seems ok for me this price).The only part is missing is hard drive caddy.Where can I find one?

I'm *almost* sure the IIci/IIcx/Q700 all use the same caddy, so you might include those models in your search.

Yes, i agree with joethezombie, had the exactly same problem and found mine in a IIci IIRC.

Thanks for the reply´s.Actually I'm looking for the hard drive sled.Also I want to replace the hard drive.the Q700 has any hard drive capacity limit?

Not sure about the hard drive limit, but I would stay with a 400MB hard drive just to be safe.

EDIT: Did you check and/or pop the PRAM battery as well?

I am using a SCSI2SD with a 2GB Card and I tried a 4GB too. I also popped in an Apple branded 601 upgraded card to give the old girl the full package.

Some pics from the Q700.The disk drive is 1GB which is dead.Worked once and then stopped.I need a new one plus the sled.

There are a couple of them listed on US eBay, not sure of shipping to your location.  Hard Drive Carrier 815-5078-03.   It's sad because when the hard drive is thrown out, the recyclers usually just throw out that piece along with the drive.  Same with LC AIO sleds and edge connectors.  ಠ_ಠ

Yes. 50 pin drives are 50 pin drives. Doesn't matter if it's 20 MB or 20 GB.

Your best bet is eBay.  IIci, IIcx, Quadra 700 all used the same sled.

Here's one.  Maybe you can negotiate a cheaper shipping price if you ask him/her to sell you just the sled.

Unfortunately they charge me about 40$(with USPS) to send this...I think its too expensive for a piece of metal.

You can have a complete unit for less than $ 40...
