Any idea the cause? It needs to be recapped. I cleaned this board thoroughly. It chimes fine and plays sound fine when headphones are plugged in. Any ideas why it won't when headphone port empty?
Well, whats more weird, is that if i plug headphones in, sound from speaker works. If no headphones no sound at all. I thought headphones were making sound when plugged in, but no, was interna speaker of 660
The caps near the sound chip. Even if you removed the older solder with braid and cleaned the area with alcohol it can still cause such issues. Try removing the caps near this area again, remove the solder, and clean thoroughly. Sometimes the smallest speck can cause sound interference both internally and externally on these.
