quinterro 68020 Sep 13, 2008 #2 I received a MacBook to repair from a customer. Being a used laptop, it had the password from the previous owner still on the unit. So far I have tried going into single-user mode and booting from DVD to reinstall the operating system. Neither of these options work. Any ideas?

quinterro 68020 Sep 13, 2008 #3 It's fixed. I had to reset the Open Firmware password, then go to single-user mode and force a new admin account to be created. Although they were given a set of Mac OS X 10.4.10 discs for a MacBook they would not install.
