Powerbook G5 Prom battery?

Hey guys,

I've started running my pb 1.67ghz g4 osx leopard machine without its main battery as it's basically dead, but now it always loses time on boot. Is there another battery I need to swap out?

Your PowerBook has a backup battery alright, and it's unfortunately proprietary. You would have to solder in a new coin cell battery to replace the old one, but I have no idea what specific type of coin cell yours uses. You would have to find that out after you remove the battery.
