While I have a ton of desktop macs my only laptops were the 170 and a small stack of Wallstreets until recently. Today I got in a mystery G4 12" Powerbook from ebay $23 shipped and found out it is a 1.33ghz G4 model. All the screws were in it so that was a good thing, boot from the optical drive (DVD DL burner) but the HD was dead (but still installed so the mounting hardware was there. Put in a 100GB IDE drive and installed OSX10.4.11. It is missing the F2 keyboard key so need to replace that.
I also have a 12" Powerbook G4-867 purchased here from a forum member that works kind of (seems to hang with OS install maybe overheating?). Optical drive makes noise, wondering if a screw is inside or something (won't read disks) but the battery seems to charge.
