Powerbook G3 screen hinges

Hi guys,

I am the proud owner of a Lombard and a PDQ. Sadly, the PDQ had snapped hinges when I bought it(which they're famous for, so not entirely unexpected), but weirdly so did the Lombard. As I'm unable to find replacements, and I'd rather not destroy a working machine to fix another, I was wondering if there are any homemade fixes to repair the hinges, or maybe aftermarket replacements.

I have the same issue on my Lombard. Decided to try a few layers of JBweld and see how it works.

I did that with one of my Lombards. It's a good solution for when you can't find Lombard hinges.

usedmac.com has Pismo hinges for $15 each side.
I'll first wait for the JB Weld to cure and see if that even works. Then get a replacement for the other side.
