I was attempting to sell this PB Lombard, but have had no takers. So I decided to swap the logic boards myself.
The original board would chime very static like and you could hear the HD power up, but the green light would not come on and it wouldn't do anything.
So I figured something was up with the video on the board so I decided to swap it with a spare board I have.
Not 5 minutes in I see why nothing was coming up on the LCD. The green cable from the LCD was broken right near the connector to the inverter board. One issue solved.
Decided to keep going and completed the install. Found a 2nd sound board, installed that too. Booted it up and still chiming static like and no change from before. Removed PRAM before doing this and reset the PMU. Nothing changed.
Now the unit is currently headless as I do not have a spare LCD. Is there any way to tell it to switch to external video or video mirroring? Anyone have any ideas if this issue may be caused by bad RAM or bad CPU?
Thanks!
