Powerbook 190

Technically haven't actually grabbed it yet, I'm leaving work early in a bit here and driving about an hour to pick it up. Not the color model, 28 megs ram, unknown HD. Boots into 7.6.1. Offered $45 and they accepted. I mainly wanted it for the power supply as my friend gave me an old 190/5300 (literally, bottom half says 5300 top half says 190) with a broken PS. I always liked the look of this series. My 3400 was neat but way too fat with those speakers.

Got the Powerbook. I had some very weird problem happen to me though, and now that I think about it I suspect it is due to power loss. The 190 came with a battery that seems to hold a charge, and when I first fired it up and played around everything was fine. I then toyed with my 5300 as I was previously without a power adapter. The 5300 has no battery. For some reason, I couldn't double click any icons. I could tell the machine registered the clicks but double clicking an icon would just select it and not open. This applied to anything. Pretty weird. I took the battery out of the 190 briefly and then hooked it back up to use. Imagine my shock when it started doing the same thing! I could see the clicks register but double clicking an icon would not open it. Opened the Mouse control panel and found that the double-click speed selection choice was just blank, so I picked one of the options and suddenly it works just fine. I guess having the battery pulled caused this setting to just disappear?
