Powerbook 1400 Parts + Take It Apart Guide

Just got another Powerbook 1400; this one needs a little TLC. Is the best source of parts still Wegener Media? I need a rear foot/screw, PCMCIA door, cover latch etc.

Also, does anyone have a link for the take-it-apart guide for the 1400? I had that a while back, but have misplaced.

Final question - has anyone had a successful battery rebuild done for the 1400, rather than buying new? I have thought about trying that but haven't taken the plunge yet...

Check with www.ifixit.com. They are one other good source for help on PB1400 laptops.

You'll pay through the nose at Wegener. No offense to them - it's the same at most of the retails webstores for old parts. Best to post a want ad in the Trading Post here.
