Possible ReConquest: Preforma 630CD

I'm going to my grandma's house tomorow, so i'm hoping that the Preforma 630CD i stuck in her attic when i was ~6 years old is still there!

*crosses fingers*

:)

Well, no 630CD that i could find. There *is*, however, a PowerMac 9500/200, an AppleDesign keyboard, and an Apple ADB Mouse II

Maybe I can get the keyboard & mouse, probebly not the PowerMac though...

I'm rather fond of the 9500, despite it's horrible case architecture. (Pretty on the outside, Evil on the inside)

Oh, and how do you get out the harddrive and stuff from it? If I can't keep the whole thing, I might as well strip it.

OK, i'm up in my grandma's attic imaging all of the old mac floppys i found. here is what I found:

Legions (4 disks)

Word tales (5 Disks, missing disks 3 and 5)

Pac In Time (2 Disks, two copies of disk 2)

A bunch of disks with star trek sounds (5 disks)

The following proved unreadable:

Pac In Time disk 2 (both copies)

Legions (all disks)

My mom probebly won't let me ("You don't have room...") :D
Well make room for it goddamnit, its a 9500! Surely you've got something that you can get rid of?

I've been "running out of room" for 5 years, and I continue to bring in 6 computers for every 1 that I sell. :)

I got the KB and Teardrop mouse, and am probebly gona get the 9500/200 (it'd make a great OS 9 machine!)

I'm gonna make room, but first my grandma has to check and make sure that it isn't needed anymore. It appears to be upgraded! there is an un -identifiable PCI card. I think it might be a SCSI JackHammer, whatever that is. If it isn't that, its probebly some sore of graphics accellator or media processor. if its a SCSI JackHammer, than I'm assuming that its what my dad used to plug in his 25GB SCSI RAID into.

Specs:

200MHz procesor

224MB RAM

2GB Seagate HD

Twin Turbo 128 Graphics Card

It's missing the plastic over the CD and floppy drives.

:)

I've had a good day!

That is a really nice 9500. I agree, room must be found! Best of luck.

Perhaps making or sourcing some new storage shelves and tidying up the existing collection would help it at least appear that there is more room }:)

Well, first my grandma has to make sure it isn't needed, then...

"You'll have to get *at least* 2 bags of trash out of your room before I let you get *another* computer"

::)

I only have 4 computers in my room (5 total)

I *need* more computers...

I know it sucks but clean up your room, theres 1 con to 2 pro's

con: you have to clean up your room

pro 1: you can have another mac

pro 2: your room wont smell like old pizza, and that year old sub sandwich will quit biting your toes at night

My room doesn't smell like old pizza!

But I think one of my cats coughed up a big, nasty hairball in my closet, and another peed on some stuff in my closet... :p

And I don't have much any food in my room, and its Mr. Squirrel you have to worry about, Mr. Year Old Sub is quite friendly - it's the radioactivity that's bad about him...

I really don't wanna clean my room, my closet is literaly piled up 4 feet high with crap very useful stuff.
