snatched one on ebay for a few bucks and local pickup.

nothing special in there.

-12x SCSI CD ROM drive

-no HDD

-CPU card

-mobo

-some 64MB RAMs

together with the RAM from my 9500 which the 9600 is going to replace i´ve got a frikkin 768MB of interleaved RAM now.

still have to get my daystar carrier working in there.

I think Im going to install 7.6.1, 9.2.2 and Tiger.11 on there.

Congratulations!....I have a 9600 which I love, its been in use for a couple of years for me. I added a Sonnet 400 mghz accelerator and a gig of ram.... [] ]'> ....as i said....I love it!

Nice machines, I have an 8600/300 same case just different motherboard. Are you going to fill up all 6 PCI slots?

only 5 of the 6 slots will be filled because i mounted two HDDs in the bottom drive carrier so the lower slot is blocked.

Adaptec 2940 SCSI is already ordered - I only got teh PC version so its not bootable what isnt that much of a problem
