Pismo brightness option, where did it go?

I just made a fresh 9.0.4 install in my PowerBook FireWire and can’t control the brightness anymore. What is up with that?

I have a G4 with 9.2.2 installed, but I would think it should be somewhat similar. If you go under monitors, there should be a slider, and the monitor should be set to color LCD (At least mine is). Do you see those? Or are you saying the slider does not control brightness?

The brightness slider is gone, and the brightness buttons on the keyboard won't do anything. They work 9.2.2! I switched because the Pismo had trouble waking up from sleep in 9.2.2.

Thank you for mentioning 9.2.2! I took the control panel and extension from 9.2.2 and made a switch and now the slider shows up. However, it won’t slide, and the keyboard buttons don’t do anything still. I don’t recall this issue!?
