Performa 460 replacement power supply

I’m looking for a Performa 460 power supply, because I bought a recapped Performa 460 logic board. The going price for an untested unit on eBay is $80, while tested units cost $100+. I was browsing power supplies on Mouser and the Mean Well RPT60A would supply the correct power : Chassis Mount 46.5W 5V/4A 12V/2A -5V/0.5A For $17.70 + 50% tariff for US buyers. Link to the PS https://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/MEAN-WELL/RPT-60A?qs=V9a8iPeg90zpH9BOBMezRA==

The size of the power supply is different than the original at 4 in x 2 in x 1.142 in, and it’s an open frame PS. Has anyone tried this PS in a LC 3? I wonder if the metal shielding of the original PS is needed.

Yeah, I've retrofitted RP-60As into a couple of LC-class machines. It fits nicely in the metal box that the original PSU was in so it can still click into the chassis.

Thanks. I didn’t find the very helpful thread I mentioned in post #2 until today. I ordered the RPT60A today, along with the Molex crimps and connectors from Mouser. The RPT60A has a 50% tariff, making it cost about $26, which is still inexpensive.

VH ratcheting crimp tool, insulated terminal anssortment and 18 AWG colored wire assortment ordered from Amazon. The crimp tool was only $14 - a Black Friday sale.
