PCI 9250 quirks in OS 9.2.2 (G4 MDD)

Hey guys,

I have a Sapphire 9250 128mb PCI (128kb flash installed, resistor mod applied, full .127 version ROM flashed) card in my G4 MDD 2003 (There's also a FireGL X3 AGP flashed over to X800Pro also 128kb flash, VGA only connected to the 9250 at present). In OS 9.2.2, the 9250 works mostly, but there are some odd issues and I want to just check-in with you guys on whether this is just something I'll need to live with due to this level of hackery.

I've used many different drivers, but I've settled on this compendium: https://68kmla.org/bb/threads/radeon-9250-drivers-for-9-2-x.44365/
The issue is that some games have issues, in this case Quake (RAVE, all versions) and Quake 2 (1.0 and 1.03 unofficial) in OS 9.2.2.

Quake will only allow me to only use 640x480 no other resolutions are available, if I try to use the 1.09 update it forcibly starts Quake RAVE in a window, clicking on the Video tab in settings just crashes the game 'Type 1' or 'Type 2'. Screenshot is with 1.08.4 installed.

Quake 2 runs, but just either leaves me with a garbled desktop on exit or quit game screen is stuck.
(I know there is GLQuake exists and that actually runs fine, I want to use retail release if possible).

Lastly as you can see ATI Displays just says Unknown and not the 9200 as I expected?

Apologies for the CRT flicker.

Thanks!
