Thanks Guys.. I just ended up Putting 6.0.8 on it.. That way its compatible with most of my software.. Its essentially the Color version of my Mac SE, So i can open Pagemaker Documents and stuff.
Actually, Wikipedia is wrong there. The original OS for the Mac II was System 4.1 Finder 5.5. I've confirmed this from published reviews from the time.
Indeed, it's uncertain that 4.0/5.4 will even boot a Mac II. The SE was shipped first, and came with 4.0/5.4. When the II began shipping a month or so later, it had 4.1/5.5.
