What would the Centris 650 original monitor look like? If it didn't come with one, what would the monitors for that time look like? I would answer this myself, but Archive.org has only backedup Apple's site since 1996.
The 650, like the other Quadras, didn't actually come with a monitor, you had to provide one yourself. Typical monitors that were used on it included:
- The Macintosh Color Display (fixed at 640x480)
- The Macintosh 16" Color Display (fixed at 832x624)
You don't have to use these monitors, however - just about any Apple display (apart from Apple II displays) from 1987 - 1998 will work on the Centris 650, as well as most third-party displays, so long as you provide a VGA adaptor.
