Original Apple Color Printer (SCSI)

Greetings all,

I negotiated to buy an original Apple Color Printer for the princely sum of US$10 from a fellow in Canada (he may be on here - if so Hi ! ).

Shipping was a whole other matter. Suffice it to say the shipping out factored the sale price many fold and even then the printer only just arrived, having been sent in early July!

Anyway this printer was the mechanism from the Canon BJI-643, also sold as the IBM/Lexmark 4079. I need to replace the cartridges and set up an older machine to get it working (the printer is SCSI or parallel).

It's big and heavy and looks to take A3 paper too!

Will post photos once I have it up and running.

Kind regards,

Macdownunder

I got software on orig. diskettes for it, if you want ...
Yes - I gather than these needed reasonable software support. Apparently alot of pre-processing took place on the Mac?

I'm hoping that the Service CD set will have the drivers, but I'll keep you in mind slomacuser.

Thanks,

Macdownunder
