Order of extentions

I think renaming it can change that. They're usually loaded in alphabetical order. Or, some extensions managers can do that too. Seeing that extension conflicts were common back in the day, I'll bet there's an app that can do that.

 
Inserting a space or a ° bullet point (shift option 8 ) at the beginning of the file's name will change its alphabetical sort order (heck any character will, those are just the most commonly used ones). One will drop it to the end of the load, the other to the start, IIRC.

 
If you want complete control of the load order, not just first and last, print out a copy of the ASCII code chart to see exactly the order in which printable characters will be sorted by "alphanumeric" sorting, then apply prefix letters to extension names accordingly.

Or use Conflict Catcher. If you're running System 7.5 or later, you've got the Extension Manager control panel, but I'm not sure if it will let you change the load order.
