old games in OS X

I'm sure this has been discussed here before, but I can't find it.

Which old (68k-era) games are you still able to play, in original or nearly-original form, in OS X - without resorting to emulators (even Classic)? I know of: Marathon Trilogy (thanks to Aleph One), Maelstrom.

Which old games do you miss, so much so that you'd buy them again if they were directly ported (not an update or revision) to OS X? Why, or what do you miss so much about them? For me, this would include: SimCity 2000, Warlords, Oregon Trail, possibly others.

Have you tried any of the FOSS clones of classic games, and if so, how do they compare to the originals? I'm thinking of things like: Lincity, Freelords, etc.

Do you know of any new OS X games that hark back to the 68k "feel" despite their modernity? Some that come to mind: Chopper, lots of Tetris clones, etc.

Slight OT - I've had loads of problems with games that used to work fine until about 10.4.6/7. Both the Classic ones and the regular ones. It's bloody annoying... time for a reinstall, probably.

bubble trouble, apeiron, glider, snood... just to name the ones i have. maybe quake2 but i´m not shure if it did run on 68k, i dont think so...

EDIT: all parts of lemmings would be awesome to have for OSX - though, it´s much more retro to play on an old mac :D

i remember. i use to play unreal tournament in classic mode in jag (it played darn near full speed). i cant do that in the classic mode in tiger. i played many games in classic mode in jag that dont play in tigers classic now

Apple must have did something to classic mode in tiger over jags classic mode to make more un able to do this sort of thing.

i played a few 68k games in classic mode in jag that played at or just below full speed. take A-10, it played great in jags classic mode but in tigers classic mode its like i try to play it on a SE-30 or lower (another word, it plays like crap)

Not much seems to run in Classic. I use it for Kid Pix (still the best color bitmap program ever) but as for other programs...

MacDraw II: Displays a black screen in Tiger's classic mode.

Sim City 2000: Seems to work OK

Jeopardy: Seems to work OK

The Sims: The CD installs the old OS 9 version, use an upgrade pack CD and it will detect OS X.

Someone mentioned Apieron, I think they re-released the shareware classic for OS X. I've also seen Solarian II redone for OS X and I think StuntCopter got similar treatment.
