Not a Mac...but ENTERTAINMENT...

It's really hard to find a CD in a store these days. They either have Top 40 junk or are so bogged down with compilations, etc. that there is no room for music that is actually a work of art.

Borders is probably the best music store around me anymore. Trouble is even they didn't have the CD I was after in stock. However, they were able to custom order it for me!

So after a wait of a few days and a drive back to the mall, I now have myself CONSTRUCTION TIME AGAIN by Depeche Mode! Played it on the Plus last night as I wrote and enjoyed every minute of it!

For some reason the experience of 80s synthpop and an 80s Mac go hand in hand to me. Anyone else get this feeling?

I like 80's music if that is what you mean, there is a station on the radio here that is all 80's music on the weekends, and maybe a couple early 90's tunes.

What is Oingo Boingo classified as?

I find the best music stores are in the city. Went down to Brisbane back in April, and went to a couple of independant record shops. Just amazing just how much variety is there. Here we only have one or two record shops, and they just sell the same old contemporary crap. Yet another reason to move to the city I guess. ;) (sorry, but I'm sick of living in the country :p )

For the record, just yeterday I found Jet's latest album (Shine On, an awesome album) in the local RSCPA thrift shop for 2 bucks. Needless to say, I bought it. Tested out the new CD and the new car's CD player (Holden VE Berlina, if anyone is curious) all at the same time. ;)
