No video after PRAM battery replaced (Beige G3 Tower)

Yesterday I replaced the PRAM battery in my Power Macintosh G3, which I thought would be a quick procedure, but it's turned into a whole new issue. The machine chimes and I can hear the hard drive churning as it loads OS 9. After the hard drive stops, I can press the power button, at which point I can hear OS 9 beep with the shut down prompt, and then if I press Return, it shuts down. So the computer is otherwise operating fine.

The problem is after the PRAM battery replacement, my ATI Rage card no longer outputs video to the monitor.

The onboard video works fine. I've reset the PRAM, and I found an article on Apple's website about resetting the PMU. Neither solution worked. I've also tried reseating the ATI card, and moving it to other slots. Nothing.

I tried searching the forum already, and found nothing. Either this problem hasn't been discussed before or my search skills are terrible, haha.

Anyway, thanks in advance for any help! I'm at a bit of a loss here.

The beige G3 is a beast with the pram battery issue. If you search you'll find at least a post or two on it. Especially if it has os X on it. Unplug, pull out battery, press power button, put battery back in, If you have a OS cd put it in the drive and press C on boot. I've found that easiest to get the pram back to normal.

You can try the normal pram zap procedure but I never had any luck with that.

Your welcome glad it worked for you. It works on the AIO, tower and desktop version I have no matter what rom it has.
