New OS for PowerPC Macs

the source code to System 7.1 has semi-recently been leaked onto the net

WHAT? When/who/how/where? Details, expound, elaborate, please! This news missed me.

There may not be all of it to compile a complete OS, but there might be enough of it to update specific parts of the OS.

For that, at the end of the day, you're still building a flawed, tired-old design on a sunk foundation with questionable legality.

Building a new OS is interesting, especially if it's not boring old POSIX, but I question the guy's intent, platform, and capability for this.

I guess thats what they thought when hobbyists updated the Apple GS/OS to a slightly later version.
