Netgear FA511

Hi All,

I have a Netgear FA511 Cardbus 10/100baseT network card which I want to use in my G4 PDQ. According to Ubuntu and a couple of BSD wiki's the chip inside is a pretty close clone of the DEC Tulip 21143 as used by Farallon in their Fast EtherTX-10/100 and also Asante in their FriendlyNET 10/100. Seeing as in the UK neither of these cards come up very often I want to Resedit the drivers and see if I can get the Netgear card to work, plugged in the PDQ the Link and 100BaseT LEDs light with a patch cable plugged in but neither AppleTalk or OpenTransport do anything with the card, no comms, PDQ cannot see my Debian AppleTalk AFT (Netatalk) server or ping Cloudflare at 1.1.1.1 (or my UniFi Gateway)

I am wondering if anybody has and could let me have PN995V2.1.sit.hqx which is the correct driver for this card according the Wayback looking at Farallons support section, download link is dead.

If anyone has the Cardbus driver for the DEC Tulip card that Asante made that would be handy too not sure which driver package that is as Asante seem to be a bit more confusing at this stage than Farallon. I tried the stuff I could find and none of it works OOTB but I am not sure if the drivers I got match the Cardbus card anyway, the descriptions are a bit vauge.

Plan is to get the device ID's and Vendor for the Netgear card using a Linux live ISO in a Thinkpad put those in the Farallon and Asante extensions using Resedit and see if it works.

Thank you
