ok so like i wanted to give this a wirl, however a PPC computer is the only thing thati have that is capeable of supporting any form of the NetBSD software, i opened up the iso i downloaded in SheepShaver (working PPC emulator running MacOS 9.0.4) and found no executeables as such found in the 68k version of the iso, so i'm curious how i'm supposed to boot this since hte CD by itself is not bootable.

Sorry, I've never installed NetBSD on a PPC.

Have you tried the port-macppc list? That may be a better venue for your questions. There's a maclinux community at LiveJournal that really is for any Unix on Macs. I think LEM still has a MaX list for Unixy things too.
