Picked up a couple of barn-fresh G3 iMacs last night. A Lime DV Slot Loader (with DVD daughter card) and a Blueberry 333MHZ tray Loader. Both run, have matching keyboards, mice and are FILTHY!

"DVD daughter card"? Sorry to ask...but are you sure? iMacs decoded DVDs in software (the 400 Mhz G3 plus the Rage 128 had the grunt to do so), not only that, but I can't imagine anywhere where such a beast would connect to the logic board...pics? :O

Only the first-gen DVs had it with the Rage 128 VR. The later Summer 2000s with the Rage 128 Pro could decode MPEG2 on the GPU without the daughtercard. I can take a picture for you tomorrow. I know my Indigo 400MHz has the pads for the connector, but they are unpopulated.

Interesting...I never knew the early iMac DVs had a hardware DVD decoder - I thought that all slot load iMacs decoded DVDs via software.

Made a deal for a 1400cs with a Sonnet 333MHz G3 upgrade, a 2400c 180 and a bunch of SCSI an IOMega accessories tonight. Why didn't anyone ever tell me these 2400s were so adorably small?

Well this is the original Mono Pivot - Model 0194. I really should have bought the color pivot I saw for $25 six months ago

No sign of life on the Iicx I hear a slight pop when I plug in the power cable but no life from the power button, keyboard power or reset. Caps look filthy. I'll have to crack open the PSU to see if anything looks hater in there. It is a GE power supply, so I'm not sure that the Aztec problems would be applicable.

Too bad with the IIcx powersupply. Those were weak, i've had several die on me.

I still have few IIcx motherboards at work (waiting to be trashed) and PSU's (no idea if they work) if you want to pay for the shipping.

One of the Classic-mac's look like to have Finnish-flag on it? The one under the HDD case on right. Wow.

I'm going to recap the logic board first. They are in pretty bad shape.

Yes, the SE has a flag and an Oregon Country Fair sticker on it. I think it's the 20th annual fair so that dates it at 1989.

There's a thread about this somewhere, I'm pretty sure it's a standard , straight through, DA-19 <-> Da-19 Mac Video Cable.

I'd suggest the NuBus Radius Pivot Card, but you can snag one of Radius Color Pivot II/IIsi cards that macmetex has on eBay. IIRC, the former I have (sand monitor) and the latter drives the older monitors as well, check the Radius Q&A, I think that's where I read it.

The nice thing is that the IIcx I got yesterday has a Radius Pivot II card and the proper cable (DB-15 to DB-9). The Pivot monitor is the same as the one I got a few weeks ago.

I left the IIcx plugged in overnight and now it's working today. Time to recap.

Nope. I tried that wanted ad tactic once. I got a lot of spam and a IIgs but that was it. I just cruise the Craigslist for sale ads, University surplus, computer thrift stores and dumpsters regularly.
