jt: The Directors Edition was only available as a 5400 and later on, a 5500. There was never a 52xx or 53xx Directors Edition.

Either way, very nice score...I'm particularly envious of the 5400 DE...did it come with the matching black keyboard and mouse?

The DE wasn't the only black 5400. My first conquest was a black 5400/180. IIRC the DE had a higher spec (more RAM and larger HD I think).

Road Apple or not mine is my go-to Mac for printing as the Colour SW1500 that came with it is the only functioning printer I have.

For now I do not have the black keyboard and mouse for the 5400 (but maybe the previous owner stored them with next hardware...). It starts but hdd seems dead.

I'm now removing every battery, the //si is dead with very strong corrosion from a leaking battery (some pins are totaly gone). I'll keep it in case someone needs a case but PSU and motherboard are dead.

the 2x macplus seems ok but one PSU is not good (unstable image, after a while the house breaker switched off).

Very nice haul!

Ironically, at least here in .au where the black 5x00s were relatively common, it's often cheaper to pick up a complete set than the black kb/mouse seperately. The kb/mouse can be shipped cheaply, while the complete setup is usually pickup only, which keeps the bidding down.

I don't know if I'll use this 5400, I could start the hdd, I could even use the video board but image is not perfect and for everyday use the G3 with my old 12'' trinitron is perfect. I'll also use a classic and a macplus. The IIcx PSU died after some minutes.

Maybe I'll pick the second part of the set this week (mostly power 7xxx and LC).

Nice score, and I agree, especially for the 5400. I've never seen one in person. Those weren't that common here in Switzerland. Schools were flooded with 5200s and 5300s, though.

I apologize for the non french speakers, but looking at the Renault Mégane, I assume there are good chances that Gilles is French… Es-tu le Gilles aver qui nous avons parlé d'émulateur de Lisa et Macintosh Portable sur cuk.ch il y a quelques mois?
