MP2000+NCX+iMate= what am I missing?

Hello everyone. I have in front of me, my MP2000 (now 2100), NCX running on my PowerBook, the Newton dongle and connection cable, and a Griffin iMate. What I can't figure out is what I am missing to connect the iMate to the Newton's cable- the S-video-like pins are not compatible (wrong pattern). Do I need another adapter? or am I way off?

Yeah, a little ... The iMate is an ADB adapter, not a serial adapter.

Hmm, I see your point. For some reason I had it in my mind that it was the iMate that was needed, not a serial to USB. Thanks for your help.
