I bought a mighty mouse (Wired) from best buy on sale. I am posting from my car on my macbook. The mouse works on my lap. Very cool looking. I like the scroll. Got it for 45$.

Oh dear, wait a few months, then you will hate it,
I've had one right from the beginning, and at first I thought it was neat, then it annoyed me, and after all these months, I've simply gotten used to the thing. And by the way, when the trackball starts acting funky, clean it with an alcohol wipe and it'll be fine again.

That little scrollball gets dirty and useless way too fast for my liking, I've just been using my years-older Logitech mouse instead of the Mighty Mouse that came with my iMac. It works much better.

I have used the Mighty Mouse that came with my G5 iMac and I loved it untill the roll ball got dirty, because since you cannot open it very well, it makes for cleaning the thing very hard.

I've used them for a few minutes at a time in stores on display machines. They annoy the hell out of me, and the way i see it, if it annoys me in less than 5 minutes, its going to be even worse to actually use on my main machine.

I use a Mighty Mouse at work and really like it. I particularly like the "squeeze" buttons on the side that activate Expose, very nice. However a few folks I know who've tried it, (all Windows PC users), didn't like it at all.

It is a good mouse for controlling the Mac OS though. Hope you enjoy it.

I hate the side buttons the most, too sensitive. Plus if the Mighty Mouse was set to use the buttons for certain things, the next multi button mouse will use the preference. Very nice :D

The hockey puck is better than a mighty mouse, IMO.

To me, that little scroll ball just feels like a big old zit in the middle of the mouse. Not comfortable at all.

I too am a Logitech guy on my MacBook.
