It's hard to believe that people still use Dial-Up ...

If you live where the choice is dial-up or Semaphore, the choice for dial-up is not difficult. It's also a handy fall-back when your ISP's ADSL goes kablooie, so pray daily for your ISP.

I second the suggestion to try FreePPP. It works very well. I recall it being trouble-free. I do not have the same recollection about MacPPP.
