Macintosh SE HD Activity Light Hookup

Benno

Hi

Is it possible to hook up the Mac SE Hard drive activity light to a different HD. I want to install the Mac 40SC HD in my SE and was wondering if any of the pins pictured on the en d of the HD would run the activity LED on the front of the Mac.

If not is there a way to hook up LED ?

Thanks

Ben

The minus sign (-) indicates active low.
All odd pins except pin 25 must be connected to ground.
          Pin 25 is left open.

There are four jumpers available for configuration. Three of these
jumpers, E1, E2, and E3, are used to select the drive's SCSI ID,
  installing E4 disables parity.

        CLOSED Parity check disabled

Confirming the pointed to pins in the diagram works for the SC40 HD drive.
