I have a Mac SE/30. My brother-in-law left his Mac equipment at his dad's. Long story short: my father-in-law passed and my brother-in-law told me that I could do whatever I wanted with his Mac equipment. The SE/30 turns on, but all I get is a gray screen. Is it worth anything? How can I find someone who might want it for parts? I would hate to throw it away when someone might want it. Help?

I know there are quite a few people on here who would gladly take an SE/30 off your hands! A good place to start might be to scroll through the Trading Post threads; there was one recently, but I can't recall off the top of my head. Personally, I'm good for the moment, but even in what's called simasimac state, that SE/30 would definitely find a good home with someone here.
It will most definitely need the capacitors replaced on the logic board, and the analog board capacitors as well, while it's out, so that's something to figure into how much it's worth. Other things to consider might be how much potential board damage there is, given the corrosive nature of electrolytic fluid over time.
Generally, I don't think there are any hard/fast rules for pricing. It's all up to you. They go for many greenbacks on ebay these days, but I can say that from what I've observed, folks on here generally are pretty good about not flipping when they've gotten a good deal. It's kind of a gentlemen's agreement, but again, nothing hard and fast.
I'd look for a post, and maybe someone might find this one, and you can start a direct-message dialog with them on the value.

Jessenator is right, there are many people who would purchase an SE/30. It will certainly need need recapped at a minimum, but may also require chips and trace patches. It really depends on how bad they leaked. Heck, if the price was right I'd consider taking on another project.
