Macintosh M0100 Mouse Faulty

So, I went to start up my Macintosh Plus for the first time in a while and the system itself was fine. However, when I went to use the mouse I could only move the cursor horizontally, not vertically. I opened up the mouse, nothing blocking the sensors and everything was clean.

Does anyone know how to fix this problem or where I can pick up another M0100 mouse for a reasonable price (I live in the UK) since the ebay prices are ridiculous.

-Thanks.

It could be a break in the cable somewhere. Try bending it around near the strain relief (this is where it seems to fail fairly often) to see if there's any change. If this works, cut the cable and resolder it (you can probably stuff the freshly cut cable end through the strain relief so it still looks stock).

I had this happen once, and it was caused by a broken wire in the cable right at the strain relief.
