Macintosh IIx - Fan Control

Is there a way to force the fan to always be on? I believe my Sony CR-45 has a bad temp-control board and I'd rather have the fan be always on than deal with replacing the temp control board. I believe that shorting the thermocouple should fix that, but there might be another way.

Fixed it by just tying the fan to 12V and Ground on the power supply. Don't need temp control so that worked.

I thought the II and IIx had the fan always on and the IIfx was the one with the variable speed fan?

I believe this was one with the variable speed fan, as it’s the Sony one. I may be wrong though.
