are you in the US?  they got decent multimeters at Wal-Mart for cheap.

They also have decent multimeters at Harbor Freight too,  if you are only looking to spend 10-15 bucks.

Otherwise get someone you know to buy a Fluke for your Christmas or Birthday present.

i put it in hot water with fairy liquid, cleaned it all up with a brush and then put it in the oven for just 2 minutes and i saw smoke coming out, took it out this is what its done to my board.. see the piks attached please

jus cleaned the burnt stuff away and can see broken traces now.. its just gone worse now no?? i dont think i'll ever be able to get this fixed now or even any cc board

Well, the traces look fixable.  I'm a little worried about the 68030 in that first picture.  Looks like you'll need a new fuse, new microphone and audio jacks, and whatever that box thingy is.

The 6030 is perfectly fine, its few pins r just bent thts all.. Nothing broken

How will i get the box thingy and all the traces done? How can i fic the traces? Did these traces break because of baking it?

Im over in Ireland.

Would be glad to have a look at all 3 boards for you. Ive recapped about 40 macs now.

What happened - that looks like something blew when it was plugged in

come on.... did you plug it in and not leave it dry long enough!!!!

most of the damage looks like straight forward fix. I have old boards to replace the mic and headphone

what temp was the oven at!!!!

shipping over to Ireland is not bad - Ill do the fix for free. you just cover the postage

That looks like you used the broiler, you wanted bake,  temperature was suppose to be 190F not C.

and yes i bake boards all the time, never does anything like that happen to me.    Your best bet is to just step away from the boards

and let fallen have a go  He's a good man... makes really entertaining and informative videos.

No the cpu is still fine.. It does have bent pins but they r all connected and perfectly working ..
