Macintosh Color Classic - Dead floppy drive

I got a Macintosh Color Classic today. After cleaning and recapping the logic board, everything works fine except of the floppy drive. It’s totally dead and does exactly nothing when inserting a floppy in it except producing a vibrating noise. I have to press the emergency eject to get the floppy out.

I also replaced the drive with a known good one from my SE30 but the replacement also does not work. Same behavior. It does nothing but vibrates.

I already measured all of the wires of the ribbon cable and everything is fine, so it’s not a wiring issue. Also there are no visible broken traces on the logic board.

Has anybody an idea what the issue may be?

Has the analog board been recapped? Could be a weak power rail.

No the analog board was not recapped yet but will do this to once I have time to order the needed capacitors. But isn‘t the floppy powered by the logic board?

Hopefully it’s not the GLUE…

The logicboard handles control logic & data. The analog board handles power for everything as it’s the power supply plus the CRT video circuitry.

I recapped the Analog Board now too but still no change. Just a vibrating noise but it does not drive the floppy at all.

My Mystic LC 575 logic board will arrive in the next days and im very excited if it will have the same issue or the floppy will work on that.
