MacFlim - how can I prepare a video file for it?

I tested a few flims, visually they play fine but the sound is affected by the accelerator. Flims encoded for the SE/30 fair well on my upgraded Plus.
Attached are audio recordings of two flims, the Sweet Dreams video encoded for Mac Plus and Bad Apple for SE/30. The sound cuts in and out rapidly.

I'll join your Discord but honestly it'd probably be better to have these sorts of discussions take place on a forum like this one where information can be publicly indexed... It makes finding answers easier especially for people who haven't yet done the secret handshake to get into a dozen different chatrooms

Sure, it is better having discussion where they can be indexed, and have no issue discussing here. However, it may take quite a long time as I have projects on mac, commodore pets, apple1, NeXT and a few others, so it is impossible for me to keep track (+ I am pretty bad at keeping track anyway).

(Also, note that I've documented the whole creation of macflim on 68kmla where it started -- and the whole post was lost a few years ago)

I'll be travelling this week, will look into this next week end but that looks though...

quick update -- I implemented an alternative playback for plus that does not use the sound driver and directly goes in the VIA and SoundBase.

In the attached .dsk, there is a "MacFlim (Sound Test)" that plays a sound (not the flim one yet, just 3 tones so we can easily hear any issue) when playing a MacPlus flim with sound. Sound playing takes a few seconds before it starts, be ready to stare at a black screen for 10 seconds.

If I get reports that this solves the acceleration issue, I will go forward with that change.

The sound cycle on your hardware is way too slow. Each note is supposed to last 1/3rd of a second, so the cycle is 1 second. In you video, the notes are like 3 seconds long. This is flabbergasting.

The only explanation I can see is the the VBL is called only 1/10th of the time...

I am wrong. The "Sample With Sound" flim is not 60ps, which is why the sound is like this. Can you try this with "Sweet Dreams" instead? I think it may actually work.
