got it from ebay for 9 bucks+shipping. it has a 800k floppy drive and a 20MB HD. the mobo is dated 1986.

problem: it won´t boot. when turned on there´s no chime (but you hear the speaker clicking) and it´s displaying a sad mac. I tried swapping RAM and cleaning RAM slots and SIMMs. I pulled the ROMs and IWM and cleaned them but no chance to get it working. the PRAM batt. is still good. so...

any ideas anyone?

whoops... forgot to post it

error code:

AAAA0A01

AAAAFFFF

sometimes the first row is different (AAAAA001 or AAA0AA01 so mostly A´s and one or two 0´s) there is no such error code in the database you find on the net.

checked the error codes again. they change erverytime you press the reset switch. the last two numbers in the first row are always 01. that means that something with the ROMs is wrong, hmm? what to do?
