Mac SE FDHD ROM hacking

I vaguely recall this being discussed before, but all of my searches yield discussions of SE/30 ROMs. Has anybody successfully modified the SE FDHD to use a custom ROM, particularly running System 6 from ROM rather like the Classic?

i cant recall this ever taking place. I do know they did it with the plus. 

Last thing I was trying to do was make a plus an FDHD system but never completed the mods.

An SE with Color Quickdraw would be neat. That thing can't handle html images when viewing a picture on the web. The SE/30 can!
