Mac SE and Dynaport SCSI/Link-T

I found a Dynaport SCSI/Link-T SCSI-to-ethernet adapter today. Googling makes it look like this will be a decent option for getting my Mac SE Superdrive on-line. Has anyone had any experience with this, or any wisdom they might impart? I found some 'All Dynaport Drivers' downloads on MacMuseum which I'm hoping will include the driver for this SCSI adapter. Do I need to run System 7 with this, or can I get away with keeping my System 6 install?

I haven't used that particular adapter, but with proper drivers, SCSI ethernet adapters will work with System 6. You need to install a compatible version of AppleTalk, and probably Public Folder or equivalent to do file sharing. The other popular file sharing method in System 6 days was TOPS, but there's no modern version of that to run on a newer system.

Really I'm mostly just interested in getting a telnet client to work on it so I can telnet into bbses. I did get a superdrive working on it last night, which led to getting the SCSI zip drive working. Hopefully I'll get to tackle the Dynaport this weekend.

Looks like the hardware is good! I'm able to hit internal IPs (on the local 192.168.* network) with ping, browser, and telnet. I'm not able to get out to the internet yet, but I think that's a MacTCP issue. I'm not really sure how to set it up. I have the proper gateway and router settings, but it's not happy about something. This is on the SE/30 that I bought on Saturday.
