Mac Plus Music playback software .CVT

I've recently stumbled upon this magnificent work of art:

Anyway...

I'm quite amazed by the Plus' music playback capabilities though. Here showcased is Playsound, it plays files with the .cvt extension. I'm wondering what are the limitations of the format. Could it play a 3 minute song? 

And how do I create a .cvt version of a song? (I'm really ignorant about this file format, and couldn't find any info about it online, but I guess it's not at all like MIDI, right?)

I cant answer your question but I tried putting this onto my LC475 last week. The video has a download in the description for a 100mb .dsk file which I could open with HFVExplorer, its a complete system image with the .cvt software too. I dont really remember but I believe sound clip was huge.

I don't know what black magic allows that to play on a Mac Plus, but I sure do love that album.
