Mac 512ke with SCSI controller, internal SD drive

Hi I have 512k enhanced with Dove memory and SCSI. I noticed that SCSI PCB has 25 pin connector which allows me to use some externa;l devices (SCSI 25). How about using SCSI2SD inside since it's small and wont draw much juice from PSU? Is it doable?

What are my options for connecting SCS2SD to 25 pin connector that I can find on Dove SCSI board?

ok here's my plan what I am going to use:

- 50 pin internal SCSI cable plastic connectors (quite cheap here), actually two of them, one should be cut to fit 25 pin

- ribbon cable

- Molex 5.25" 2 plugs extension for power.

What about 25 pin to 50 pin SCSI pinout? I found something here link ,but have no idea if its proper diagram.

That's actually a pretty cool idea throwing a SCSI to SD in a 512K... (as long as you have the SCSI adapter module)... I have a macsnap board with the SCSI interface on a 512ke of mine... and the 25 pin port where the battery is normally..

That should work, I've done that exact same setup myself.  The trick is the power connector.  I spliced in a 5v molex from the main power line and 3D printed a custom bracket that connected to the floppy drive.

I then crimped a 50 pin IDC connector in the middle of the cable that leads to the external SCSI (this is easy, you just need a vice so you can squeeze the connector onto the wire.  I did it at my work which has a shop classroom. :p )

This is really cool, going to maybe try this one myself at some point.

What about termination?  If you are basically hooking up to the 25-pin SCSI header for the external connector, would you disable the terminator on the SCSI2SD and plug a terminator into the outside, or just terminate it on the inside and lose external SCSI access?
