Now this upgraded Mac512 is what I consider a rather interesting find on EBAY, and currently being offered at a reasonable price too.
Like my GCC Internal HD, this kit also includes an internal drive with what appears to be the same shock absorbing frame as what GCC used for their drive. But the difference with this Dove kit is that the drive is SCSI. You can see that buy looking at the cable (clearly SCSI-1), the Dove controller on the logic board (shown in one of those EBAY auction photos), and from seeing the "terminator" mentioned in the original Tandon TM362 drive documentation. The documentation also mentions that the Tandon drive is MFM (as opposed to RLL).
Of course, in order to use SCSI, this particular Mac 512k has had its ROMs upgraded to 128k. In the case of my GCC HyperDrive Mac, the ROMs are still stock 64k.
