Loads of goodies

Today I got the chance to check out the warehouse this guys been storing his old computers he got from schools all over the state. I did some looking around and found quite a good amount of stuff. Here's what (I remembered that) I found:

Apple stuff:

3 Apple /// montiors

3 Apple ][ monitors

Power Macintosh 5500 and another Power Macintosh, but I don't quite remember the specs on it

21" Apple Studio Monitor (thinking about returning for this)

eMac (CD cover was missing, so I don't know if the drive works. I decided to take it for my personal collection for now)

Non Apple stuff:

A nifty printer from 1989 in the box with the original packaging and documentation. The box was open, so I don't know if the printer works

IBM all in one computer similar to the ones I used to play on back in Kindergarten up to second grade.

A Compaq all in one computer.

Loads of CRT monitors (Most of them had the power cables cut like the Apple ones), keyboards, mouses, speakers, VCRs, TVs, Xerox machines, over head projectors, and any other kind of tech to be found in a school from the 80s to now.

Whenever he can sneak into his other building, there should be even more Macs in there. He said that's where he kept a vast majority of any Apple computer he ever found since they were saved from recycling. Hopefully the Apple ][s and Apple ///s are located somewhere in that other building. Maybe also a large amount of iMacs, eMacs, and LCs. The only issue with getting to this waiting jackpot of Macs is that he's been locked out of that building by the owner of the lot. When the recession hit, he hasn't been able to pay for rent on both buildings and had to lose the larger one for now :-/ I'll update if we manage to get in that building and find those Macs. We decided that whatever Apple branded computer we find we will try to sell on here so they can be liberated too.

Got the eMac up and running :p It had OS 9.2 on it, but I upgraded it with an additional 512MB or RAM and with OS X Jaguar.

The purple iMac's been having a "I'm going to shut off randomly with no warning" problem. No clue where to begin on that one...

Turns out my recycler friend managed to sneak into the other buildiing and save a few more Macs. He happened to have a couple in his truck so he decided to give them to me. Turns out I got a working Macintosh Classic and a IIgs. I'm not entirely sure if the IIgs works since I don't have a monitor for it, but I know it turns on and makes a couple sounds.

I'll also be getting all of the Macs that we come across. I'll keep a few for my personal collection and sell the rest here and on eBay. I believe on Wednesday, he should be coming to school with some more Macs :p I'll post whatever finds come up from his run to his other building as soon as I find out exactly what he's got.
