LC1/2 Roms in a Macintosh II mainboard?

uniserver

hey guys i have a Macintosh II Mainboard here..

i'm about ready to do a re-cap on it. the only thing that might keep me from making it work is , the 4 ROM Chips are missing.

I know the LC1 and LC2 have 4 chips for rom same as the Macintosh II.

Can anyone think of a reason why maybe i should not run LC rom's in a Macintosh II main board?

I may have an extra set of LC ROMs you can have. I think I pulled them from one of my botched LC mobos. I'll need to rummage through my crap.

no problem man, i could just pull some out of one of my dead lc-2's

hey i just realized the chip FDB UB13 is missing… might have been for air flowed off. or maybe it was never suppose to be there?

Isn't there solder points for a ROM SIMM socket underneath those DIP sockets? Desolder the DIPs and solder in a ROM SIMM socket, and use a dougg3 ROM SIMM! :)

Man you should change the Apple HMMMU (I think that's the abbreviation? It's that black thing.) to a Motorola 68851, so you have a complete set of Motorola purple-and-gold in there :)
