LC II question

Will it work if I plug my Sony 800k floppy drive (internal) to the floppy port inside my LC II? Will it recognize these disks? It should, right?

It should. It just won't read the 1.4MB disks, since it is, after all, an 800K mechanism.

Yep! I use an LCIII as my floppy drive repair tester machine - have never had a problem with an 800k drive plugged in (reading only 800k or 400k disks)

Thank you for confirming what I thought. Yes, I am using an LC II as a floppy drive tester. I have a drive that’s driving me insane! It will only read prodos formatted disks! I have been fiddling with the alignment for days and I can’t get it to read hfs. I’ve given up working on it and was checking to make sure that the LC wasn’t the problem. Oh well
