Lamp built from an AirPort

Hardware hacking of sorts. An old Apple Airport as a lamp. I used an LED light to avoid any melting. It's on an old G5 Xserve re-purposed as a table.

Really cool! But I hope that wasn’t the A1075 PoE. I’m looking for one of those..

Do ya have a pic of the bottom side?

I don't think the bottom of the Airport lamp will have any labels now, but don't think that we had any POE models jimjimx, I'll look through some of the others I have for that model. I found an old desk pic from when I built it originally. Nothing too special, just needed something to hold the weight. It really just sits on the other side of the office. There are some other wood supports there, but pretty clean and cheap glass for the top.

Very interesting desk!

I also like your vintage cell phones! Particularly the DynaTAC and bag phone on the left!!

Cool! That’s a pretty interesting idea for an Xserve.

I can tell you that the three vintage Motorolas on the left are: a Motorola 2900 bag phone with the color LCD, a DynaTAC 8000F, and a MicroTAC Piper. :)  I like the other phones and pagers, and the Palm IIIxe and Sony Clié on the right as well!
